Traditional Acupuncturist

Professional Background and Qualifications

I am a highly experienced clinical pharmacist with extensive clinical knowledge across a broad spectrum of health conditions. Pursuing my passion for integrative medicine, I attained a distinction in the Professional Licentiate in Traditional Acupuncture, a rigorous three-year Honours degree-level qualification from The Acupuncture Academy (TAA) accredited by The British Acupuncture Accreditation Board (BAAB).

Training and Approach

I have received comprehensive training in both traditional Chinese medicine theory and classic Five Element acupuncture. My practice is characterised by a warm and empathetic approach, offering treatments that are individualised, gentle, and effective, integrating my western medical background with the philosophy and techniques of ancient Chinese medicine.

Holistic and Integrated Treatments

Working at a profound constitutional level, I adopt an integrated and holistic approach that seeks to treat the whole person, not merely the symptoms. By diagnosing and addressing the root imbalance, I enable the body’s natural healing processes to restore harmony and health. This approach helps individuals return to their true nature and feel more like themselves. When appropriate, I incorporate additional techniques such as cupping, gua sha, and moxibustion into my treatments.

Scope and Benefits of Acupuncture

Acupuncture can address a wide range of issues, from physical ailments to emotional disorders. It is effective for both acute and chronic conditions. While some clients seek acupuncture for specific health concerns, others turn to it when they sense their body is unbalanced, even in the absence of a clear western medical diagnosis. Many individuals also choose to have regular treatments simply because they find the experience relaxing and beneficial for their overall wellbeing, helping them adapt to life’s seasons and changes.

Professional Memberships

I am a member of the British Acupuncture Council, an organisation whose members are part of an accredited register regulated and approved by the Professional Standards Authority for Health & Social Care (PSA), an independent body accountable to the UK Parliament.
